Weekend on the Prairie

Son1 arrives for an extended visit
and
Son3 has a birthday

The studied dissection of the cake.
Do all families do this with a butcher knife?
*head cocked*

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  ~Psalm 1:1-3

Good to see Son1 again.
And, "Happy Birthday, Dylan!!!" Sorry I'm a day behind. Hope it was great! The cake looks de-lish, even carved with a butcher knife!! ;)

Our family uses whatever's handy to cut the cake. That includes our hands. :P

Ah, Liberty, you're our kind o' people. You might enjoy "Dog Night," when flatware -- and even paws -- are disallowed at the dinner table. Alas, those days have passed, though, with no Littles at home any more. Probably about time to introduce our SugarPlum to that delight. ºÜº

Cousin Annie, we're having a great time with Son1. Hope your getaway to the lake was a good one.
