A tip-to-toe brushing.
No, I won't be knitting with it. Ü

| For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 1 Timothy 4:8 |
Pride goeth before destruction,
and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Bel, scottie, has a super hard outer coat - and dense undercoat - (scotties have hair not fur however - why they need professional grooming about 3 times a year)
But Bel is a 'cramp' scottie - and if she overheats she cannot walk, and all dogs can easily suffer heat stroke if their owners are not aware of the danger.
every time I think we have brushed out all of her undercoat - I am surprised to find there is yet another pillow case full to remove!
Maxie on the other hand has zero undercoat under his hair - go figure. but max is half westie and half scottie.
I'll bet Ruger is super grateful for the brushing!
your two doggies are both beautiful - and so different from one another in appearance - but I suspect they both are the same 'at heart'.
I've always believed that dogs are here to teach us unconditional love - since they give it so freely to us.
