Cuz Cuz Annie Asked

What's kefir?  That's what I said, too.

It was never engaged to Julia Roberts and is the epitome of docile.  Little Loo, who has water kefir and makes ginger beer with it, informed us at Thanksgiving that the correct pronunciation sounds (to me) like a sneeze, with the accent on the second syllable.  Webster told us we can, though, continue to confuse people with thoughts of Hollywood, and while I'm not all about Hollywood, I'm not into that sneezing thing either, so around our place it's kE'-fur.

An animal?  Evolutionists might believe that biiiillions and biiillions of years from now, it'll become a heffalump, but we know it's going to keep on keepin' on as kefir.  Kefir grains look like big tapioca pearls kinda stuck together.  Over time and in the right environment, they multiply under the covering of milk.  Milk.  They turn it into something akin to, but more healthful than, yogurt.  My original 3 tablespoons of kefir grains (eBay purchase) have been engaged in propagating, so that I separated them and have a clump to give to Connie, if it ever stops snowing and Algore's global warming comes back.  Exhale. Exhale a lot.  (Where are those cows anyway?  They need to trot down there by the cemetery and turn their backsides to the road.)  Four foot drifts have, overnight, returned our sheet-of-ice road to an impassable state.  The last snow, which is still with us and was shoved around by the county plow, created some walls of snow taller than the mailman's truck.  With highs in the teens and lows in the negative numbers, Kefir and I are going to be hanging out here for a long time, and Algore's going to get his flood in The Heartland, when the cows show up.  And he thought it would be on the coasts.  Silly man.

Kefir.  It's a good thing.  So are exhaling and cows' toots.  ('Xcuse me for saying so, and I'm gonna go sip a smoothie now, like the lady I should be.)

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.  1 John 2:15-17
