New Year - New Home

Welcome to my new blogging abode.  The old homestead is still standing, but I had a hankerin' to move, so here I be.  I dragged a lot of my tchotchkes over here.  [Yes, I have keepsake totes, too, in my real house.]

I was tethered to the green background at the old place, since I'd laboriously recolored every single graphic background and photo edge I posted there for three solid years.  If I'd chosen any other background color at the old house, my MarthaNot-ishness would have been rearin' its ugly head all over the place, because past graphics and photos would have been ringed in green on a white background.  Intolerable.

We're fairly clean here.  I'd wail and moan and whine — okay, even pitch fits — over a white wall or ceiling in my real house.  This house, though, will cleanse my eyeballs.  Even as I decorated here, I kept catching myself junking-up the place, so I'd have to delete a graphic upload and start hacking away elements...only to find myself poking-in different stuff.  This process was repeated numerous times, and what you see is about as tame as I can get.  Sorry all over myself.

I'm a photo hound ♥, and unless I don't understand the layout, this arrangement will enable me to post larger photos.

Personally, I'm not smitten at all with seeing my words strung seemingly endlessly across the page, but maybe I'll be pretty quiet this year, so we won't have to deal much with that.  Stop it!  It could happen.

Tradition would have me utter platitudes about The New Year: what it means to me, my plans, my aspirations.  I'm not in the mood.  I am mostly thankful that 2009 is ended.

My greatest hope for 2010 is that I'll (through the mercy and grace of YHWH) become more conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ.  "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
2
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen.  ~Revelation 23:21

I like the new homestead very much! it's easy to read
with it's crisp background of snowy white - and
I love that I can comment using my name instead of opening yet another id account! I just refuse to join ay of the current "social networks" - feels like undressing in public!

I only ever half-know what I'm doing, and when I poked the infinite number of choices for creating a new space, I thought maybe "that one" would allow people to comment without an actual Blogger acct, and I thought of you, Willow. Obviously now, I poked the right button. So nice to see you here. ºÜº

Also good to see you here, Joycie and Cousin Annie. ºÜº
